ABOUT ME

Coach Ron Saetermoe
CEO (Chief Endurance Officer)

Ron Saetermoe

Ron is both a serial entrepreneur and rabid triathlete. He started his first company in 1990 and since that time has launched a number of start-ups including Triathica, the first training facility in the U.S. dedicated to triathlon and PaceMaker Fitness which offered an in-pool swim pacer.

Ron’s start in triathlon began in 1983 when a friend of his coaxed him into his first race where he had to borrow a bike (sound familiar?). Since then, Ron has completed over two hundred triathlons of all distances including the Ironman World Championships in Kona five times.

Ron is an Ironman certified coach.

Testimonials

REVIEWS

LT: Ron's coaching style is personable, encouraging and insightful. His training plan incorporates your personal goals as well as what he thinks will move you to the next level. There is a lot of thought that goes into the plan and the outcome. Ron was always honest with his assessment of how I was doing, whether good or bad, and he would have words of motivation and practical tips to move forward. The coaching experience really made me confront my own weaknesses and allowed me to have more clarity of what purpose/goal I was trying to accomplish with each race. The reality check forced me to be more realistic of what I am (and can be) capable of. The training was such a positive experience for me that I always find myself looking back and reflecting on how much I learned about myself through Ron's coaching.

MC: Ron has been an encyclopedia of knowledge and great motivator for me. His coaching took me from barely surviving an Olympic distance tri to crushing it in an Ironman. Ron's coaching and training programs have been vital to my success.

MA: While I have been competing in triathlon for many years, I have always been self-coached. This year I decided that it was time for a change and wanted to refresh my program to be more effective with my training time as well as to maximize my fitness and reduce the potential for injuries. Even though Ron and I compete in the same age group often, we are not in the same zip code. I have seen his results and I felt that he has the right credentials, experience and mindset to help me be the best that I can be. His affiliation with the TriDot training software also was a key factor in helping me optimize my training and to have a tried-and-true online software platform to guide my workouts and training progress.
